Asana Recreational Climbing Team

The Recreational Climbing Team is designed for climbers 11-18 years old wanting to improve on their climbing skills and take their climbing to the next level. This is the next step up when compared to our other after school programs and is a pre-requisite to getting to the Boise Competitive Team.

This program emphasizes technique, strength, training and strategy for significant increases in climbing ability. However, the atmosphere is more recreational and social then the competitive level. The recreational team does not travel to competitions.

Our program mission is for our athletes to see that climbing can be a lifelong pursuit, enjoyed year-round and one that will always remain challenging, rewarding and a means of self-enrichment.

Asana began in Boise in 1999 as a manufacturing company producing “Everything Bouldering”. The company grew and became the market leader in custom padding systems for climbing gyms across the US. In 2013, the company evolved and incorporated the Asana Climbing Gym to truly provide all things bouldering. Now in 2016, the gym is expanding into a new facility!
