Title: Aerial Arts/ Yoga Manager
Location: Asana Climbing Gym, Boise, ID

 Reports to: Gym Director

Position Summary

The gym leadership team includes the Owner/CFO, Gym Director, General Manager, Aerial Arts/ Yoga Manager, Head Routesetting Manager, Maintenance Manager, and Marketing Manager/Event Coordinator. As a team, they are responsible for developing and implementing the mission, vision, and values of Asana Climbing Gym. They will embody ACG’s values, set and achieve goals, ensure that the gym functions smoothly, and support all staff members.

The Aerial Arts Manager will report to the Gym Director and be involved in manager meetings. Together, the Director and Aerial Arts/ Yoga Manager will set aerial and yoga department goals (outcomes) and key performance metrics to evaluate performance. As a management team, we will develop a vision for the future of Asana Climbing Gym and the Aerial Arts and Yoga department that aligns with our core values and moves the business forward.

The ideal candidate will possess the ability to manage conflicting priorities, have exceptional leadership qualities, set goals, evaluate outcomes using metrics, think critically, and teach. Their role will be to develop and manage the Aerial Arts and Yoga department in a way that helps achieve the goals and values of the business. The Aerial Arts Manager will be someone who can be a part of a highly collaborative team.

Primary Job Responsibilities (Not Exhaustive)

  • Produce a monthly and yearly Profit and Loss Report with itemized revenue and expenses for all programs (events, yoga, adult aerial, youth aerial, camps).
  •  Optimize aerial revenue by identifying and implementing opportunities in a way that is functional with the entire gym
  • Manage aerial shows and performances (2 youth shows, 1 adult show)
  • Manage and lead Youth Company
  •  Manage the youth aerial enrollment (ASP). This includes providing metrics on enrollment quotas (example: 35 out of 50 sign ups) and working with the marketing manager to fill classes.
  •  Manage aerial and yoga instructors
  •  Manage Asana Aerial Arts Instagram
  • Manage the growth and development of instructors by providing training, observation, and reviews. Implement our core values into this.
  • Work with the Marketing Manager and implement strategies to maximize revenue.
  •  Respond to aerial/yoga-related emails
  •  Be the lead instructor for all programs, instructing 10 hours per week
  • Complete aerial apparatus inspection and silk cleaning
  • Clean/organize aerial storage space
  • Work with the leadership team to produce a consistent and functioning schedule
  •  Organize and complete circus camps enrollment/scheduling
  •  Provide circus camp instruction
  •  Order supplies for camps and programs

 

Requirements

  •  Experience running a department and analyzing monthly and yearly profits.
  • The ability to balance financial goals with cultural/ community goals and outcome.
  •  The ability to collaborate and lead with an understanding of how the Aerial Department converges with the overall business goals.
  •  Excellent critical thinking, business, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Embodies Asana's mission, vision, and core values while fostering this culture in Aerial and Yoga staff members.
  • Ability to build a strong, accountable staff and develop future leaders (core values).
  • Ability to work independently and handle competing priorities.
  • Ability to solve problems and manage difficult situations.
  •  A passionate individual who is eager to build the local aerial arts community.
  • Maintain a consistent schedule and presence at the gym to support staff.

Compensation: Dependent on qualifications. Includes standard ACG benefits (+1 membership and pro deals).

Title: Aerial Arts Youth Instructor
Location: Asana Climbing Gym, Boise, ID

 Reports to: General Manager or Aerial Arts Manager

Position Summary

The Aerial Arts Youth Coach will report to the General Manager or Aerial Arts Manager. Together, you will set goals (outcomes) for your teaching and your class. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to manage the risks of Aerial Arts and youth while effectively teaching and inspiring youth. 

Current Vision: Provide a climbing and aerial experience that helps people connect with others and grow as individuals.

  • Ability to solve problems and manage difficult situations.
  •  A passionate individual who is eager to build the local aerial arts community.
  • Maintain a consistent schedule and presence at the gym to support customers taking classes.
  • Willingness to cover or sub for other youth aerial classes as needed.

THE ASANA STORY

Asana began in Boise in 1999 in our founder's garage as a manufacturing company producing “Everything Bouldering”. The company grew and became the market leader in custom padding systems for climbing gyms across the US. In 2013, the company incorporated the Asana Climbing Gym to truly provide all things bouldering. Today, the gym is ever evolving as we are the premiere facility offering bouldering, aerial, and circus arts!
