Yoga & Ground Based Classes

We offer a variety of yoga classes & ground based classes. Classes range from beginner to advance, in complimentary styles for climbers, and aerialists alike. Yoga combines movement to breath and develops strength, balance, flexibility and body awareness.

Browse our current class details and find class registration below.

Vinyasa Flow (Begins January, 2023)

Vinyasa Yoga is a form of yoga that links conscious breath with fluid dynamic movement. Several Yoga postures (Asanas) are linked together in a sequence and flow together like a dance. We use controlled breath in coordination with each movement to direct the flow sequence. "Yoga" means "to yoke," and in this practice we are "yoking" or bringing together the breath, the mind, and the movement. Vinyasa Yoga is the perfect cross-training or mindfulness practice to balance out any climber or aerialist’s training.

Conditioning

Aerial Conditioning - All Levels Instruction

The aerial conditioning class is a course tailored to each students' specific needs. The course exercises are designed to strengthen students' aerial awareness and endurance overall by focusing on skills they have difficulty with from their respective apparatuses. This course also encompasses a great bit of aerial theory where previous skills learned on on apparatus are to another, therefore giving the student a well-balanced approach to any apparatus they choose. The course will help to increase your strength and aerial knowledge overall. It also serves as a great cross-training course for any aerial discipline or climbing in general. All level students are welcomed!

Aerial Straps - All Levels Instruction

In this course, students will start by learning aerial conditioning movements to build a solid foundation for straps, such as straight arm inversions, skin the cats, nutcrackers, and meathooks. Advanced students will revisit the straps conditioning essentials while also exploring higher-level strength moves such as back flags, levers, roll-up, and muscle-ups. All of which are tailored to the student's pace and level. The aerial straps discipline requires a good deal of strength and primarily targets the shoulders and upper body. The course will help to increase your strength overall and serves as a great cross-training apparatus for any aerial discipline or climbing alike.

Aerial Straps are two cotton or nylon straps attached to swivels, a rigging plate, and a single rig point. This configuration allows aerial artists to perform several twists, rolls, and various body positions on the straps requiring a great deal of strength and precision. The discipline is similar to the gymnastics rings and mirrors the overall movements and intense physicality. Straps are also a very versatile apparatus where you can perform moves on the ground and in the air as well as duo and solo maneuvers. When first starting straps, we advise wristbands or athlete tape and pre-wrap to protect your wrists.
