Intermediate Hammock was created for those who have the desire to take their hammock skills to the performance level. With a focus on fabric choreography, students will learn to condition skills that are necessary for becoming successful in the performance world and gain confidence in their art.
In this course, students will start by learning aerial conditioning movements to build a solid foundation for straps, such as straight arm inversions, skin the cats, nutcrackers, and meathooks. Advanced students will revisit the straps conditioning essentials while also exploring higher-level strength moves such as back flags, levers, roll-up, and muscle-ups. All of which are tailored to the student's pace and level. The aerial straps discipline requires a good deal of strength and primarily targets the shoulders and upper body. The course will help to increase your strength overall and serves as a great cross-training apparatus for any aerial discipline or climbing alike.
